My Little Pony

Hi everyone!

I know I said I was going to start a Cars series…and I am, I promise….

But a dear, long-time friend of mine requested this for her sassy daughter that I adore.  How could I refuse?!

This is a twin-sized, My Little Pony afghan.  If you want to make it larger, just add rows and columns to the sides until its the size you need.

You can work the graph in whatever stitch you like, but here’s what you need to know about each one:

• C2C – the graph was designed for this.  No special requirements.
• SC and DC – Do two sample squares.  First one – 6 stitches wide x 12 rows tall.  Second one – 12 stitches wide x 12 rows tall.  Which one measures closest to 4″x4″?
  • If the first one is closest to 4″x 4″: you must double every row. Each block on the graph is 1 stitch wide and 2 rows tall.  For example, Row 1 (bottom of the graph) is 100 SG.   To make that row complete, you would need to chain 101 (100 + 1 for turning).  The first time you work the row, read it RIGHT TO LEFT.  Then work the same row again, reading it from LEFT TO RIGHT. You must do this for every row, otherwise your project will not come out in the correct dimensions.  Final project should be 100×280.
  • If the second one is closest to 4″x 4″: You must double every row and column. Each block on the graph is 2 stitches wide and 2 rows tall.  For example, Row 1 (bottom of the graph) is 100 SG.   To make that row complete, you would need to chain 201 (200 + 1 for turning).  The first time you work the row, read it RIGHT TO LEFT, doubling the number of stitches in the written directions [24 becomes 48, etc.].  Then work the same row again, reading it from LEFT TO RIGHT. You must do this for every row, otherwise your project will not come out in the correct dimensions.  Final project should be 200×280.If you need support with this, join us in the Facebook group.  We’ll be happy to help.
